You are warmly welcome to mingle with mulled wine spiced up with a presentation of the exhibition program for 2024. This is an opportunity to meet the exhibiting artists and our staff in a cozy atmosphere.
The annual program opens with an international solo exhibition by an artist who investigates her personal experience from the Roma and feminist perspective. In the Summer Exhibition, the artists question the current living condition in the continuous state of emergency.
Rooted in generational trauma and triggered by the present feminist resistance in Iran, the fall exhibition explores the theme of personal and collective memory, along with prosecution and the increasing forms of censorship and violence.
The annual program also brings numerous collaborations such as the HDK-Valand graduation exhibition in photography.
Introductions by Mia Christersdotter Norman, director, and Amila Puzić, curator at Röda Sten Konsthall, and Dr. Niclas Östlind, senior lecturer at HDK-Valand.
