Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art 2015
Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (GIBCA) is held every second year and has become one of the leading art biennials in the Nordic region. The eighth edition of GIBCA opens on September 12th, entitled A story within a story… and is curated by Elvira Dyangani Ose. This year’s edition raises questions about the meaning of history and how it is created.
GIBCA 2015 will host exhibitions and programs at Röda Sten Art Centre, Hasselblad Center, Göteborgs Konsthall and 3:e Våningen in addition to local partnering venues and projects in the public space.
Over 30 national and international artists have been invited to present both existing and new site specific works, where Sweden and Gothenburg are key starting points. You can find all the participating artists, information about program activities and biennial events at www.gibca.se
